Development

Dear Families and Friends of Pardes,

Since our beginning as a synagogue school with only 12 families, Pardes Jewish Day School has experienced continuous growth. Today we have achieved a remarkable position of strength and have a future before us that is truly exciting.

Pardes has become a close-knit child-centered learning community with more than 250 students, residing for the very first time on a 5-acre campus of its own. This kind of growth is a testament to the vision and values guiding the School from its very start. And the extraordinary trajectory in enrollment we have just experienced — nearly 75 new children for fall 2007 — is an important statement . . .

This is a school whose time has come.

Like the orchard (Pardes in Hebrew) for which we are named, we are flourishing. And the fruits of our effort — our graduates — are our pride.

Generosity — from an array of School constituents; current and former parents, grandparents, alumni, friends and the greater community — has made clear just how much a Pardes education is valued. And it is because of generosity — in all its many forms — that the School has reached this remarkable point in its history. Because of philanthropic support our students can continue to experience the excitement of new horizons opening to them every day and can realize, first hand, the satisfaction that comes from reaching for one's personal best.

We urge you to add Pardes to your current giving priorities. With your gift, you ensure excellence in both our secular and Judaic programs, you help us attract and retain the most talented faculty — teachers that embody the love of learning and inspire it in our children — and you will help create an environment where students and teachers can do their very best.

Your gift to Pardes has an immediate impact on young lives that lasts long after graduation and reaches beyond the classroom and the campus. What better way to invest in our children's future than giving them the tools and skills they will need throughout their lives and strong fundamental Jewish values.

I invite you to read the following web pages to learn how we sustain and grow the exciting learning community that is Pardes, and to understand how you can help.

Thank you for partnering with us to offer our children the very best education.

Shalom,

Scott Cohen
Board Chair
